Is this what's biting me?

taylorstel22
My family and I have been staying in a rental in Nee Hampshire for a few weeks, and I have been getting bit by something. The bites are small but itchy, and my husband and baby have not been bitten once. I've thoroughly checked for both fleas and bed bugs, and it's neither of those. I may have captured it in the included photo. Can you help?

I am not going to download an unsolicited attachment.  If you want to upload an image to the internet, and then provide a *link* to that page, I will consider that.

Meanwhile, you should take the specimen to a local entomologist for evaluation.  He or she can put it under a microscope and render a much more informed verdict than I could remotely.  Entomologists are generally found at natural history museums, universities, state or provincial departments of agriculture, even the public health department (vector control division will have at least one staff entomologist).  Good luck.
